The Battle Within

In the land where the desert kisses the sea,

A journey began, a fight to be free.

The numbers loomed, a daunting sight,

A sugar-fueled battle, a test of might.

From Bahrain’s streets, the story took flight,

Days of struggle turned wrong to right.

Each meal a choice, each step a climb,

A dance with patience, a war with time.

The glucometer spoke in numbers cold,

A tale of risk and warnings bold.

But hope arose with each small gain,

A promise whispered through the pain.

Through bustling souks and morning air,

Determination flourished, despair was rare.

The sun bore witness to sweat and strain,

As life was reclaimed, joy from pain.

From thirty-three, a perilous peak,

To six-point-five, the balance we seek.

The fight goes on, though victory’s near,

Each day a triumph, each breath sincere.

So let this tale inspire your soul,

To take the reins, regain control.

For in each battle, though fierce it seems,

Lies the power to awaken dreams.
